Joining The Jewelry Cafe Family
The mission of The Jewelry Cafe is to attract and retain the region's most talented jewelry and accessories artisans in every medium and discipline.
Together, we will provide an outlet for retail and wholesale sales whereby the artist retains the lion share of the sales price. The artist gets a better deal, so the consumer will get a better retail price.
The artists at The Jewelry Cafe pay a small monthly rent and a 20% commission when something is sold.
Each month on the 15th, a commission check is sent - complete with an itemized list of sales made, for the prior months' sales.
We offer a Three Month Trial lease to see if an artists' work is a good fit for our consumers. If it is, we will offer our standard contract after the trial period. Our standard contract is either 6 months or a year, but can be canceled at any time with a written 30 day notice.
All Connecticut State Sales Taxes are collected for each item sold, and is paid directly to the State of Connecticut.
All artists who earn more than $600 annually will receive a 1099 form, to report the income generated from sales made.
We offer the opportunity to sell through our website as well and to a wholesale consumer.
